John Kiefer stopped by today. 9/13/21. He was a old friend of Ralph Williamson's. John wanted to know where Ralph's collection went to. He found out & on a road trip from Canada he stopped by, He was looking for some Innova Aeros with the Olympic Windjammer stamp from back in the day. Happy to say I had several for him to choose from!
Rumple Minze? What? Yes I have heard of peppermint schnapps but not this brand, the first time I heard of it was my friend Phil Kennedy telling a story about Don " suave " Cain.
Phil was at a event in 1984 when Don set the world MTA ( Maximum Time Aloft ) record. That event is timed, you throw into a winding then must catch it with one hand, his time was 16.72 seconds.
I have thrown MTA many times for fun & never in competition, try it sometime & you will see why his record still stands today.
Phil tells the story that the wind held that throw up had it going one way & then the other way & had he not been drinking Rumple Minze he never would have caught it!
Don got his nick name from a Ultimate coach he had because he was a early side arm guy, his coach told him to put some sauce on it!
