I know I owe a few pictures from DGA and my Tahoe trip but just wanted to say that I am half way done with the re numbering of my collection. It has given me a great chance to see some plastic that has been tucked away for sometime. It has also given me the chance to share with you!
I was thinking about how I ended up with all these discs and a turning point was buying Ralph Williamsons collection. I have up graded the collection on many fronts and it was fun to share with him about the latest rare disc that I had collected. He told me I had the collecting bug worse than he did! Ralph has passed on now, but I guess that when I got his collection I also got a history lesson on flying discs. Did you know that Ralph was a 10 time Disc Golf World Champion? He is not in the Disc Golf Hall of Fame, I think he should be, I remember meeting him at the 1993 Masters Cup in Santa Cruz and him presenting me with his card ( a personalized mini ). Even though I am mainly a Disc Golfer I have really come to love the old discs in my collection, some I have listed but many more are to come. About 1/3 of my collection are Wham-o discs, get ready here they come! |
