I do not play a lot of tournaments each year, only one or two. That has been the case for many years. I think I have played at least one event a years going back to 1991. I think 1995 was the biggest year tournament wise I played 6 events hosting The first Vintage Cup and the Nor Cal finals that year,( I even won a skin) I missed all of last year because of my knee replacement.          

Tournament play is not my favorite with overly intense competitors. I must say that I am looking forward to the Asia Open the first month of 2015! I feel that I am back to normal and ready for a challenge. The Asia Open has a weight restriction on plastic, no more than 159.9 grams. This has been fun to find plastic to throw and getting used to throwing new stuff.

I had always been a max weight kind of guy and I am really having no problems with the lighter stuff. Getting older I find my lower back is hurting me more, it is nice to slow down my throw and reduce the overall jarring on my body and still be happy with distance!

My plan is to play this event and then meet with my Honey Lisa in Hong Kong for a little R & R, always wanted to play a event out of the country and get to Hong Kong, looks like I will do both in one swoop!

  Most of you heard that we had a earthquake a week ago. It was the largest quake in the last 24 years next only to the SF quake. We had a bad one back in 2000 or was it 2001? I think had I done a better job of fastening stuff to the wall we would have had less broken stuff! All the dishes in the kitchen, most of the stuff in my closet, pictures, mirrors, glass shower doors, dressers, just about anything that was not nailed down was on the floor! The house we fine!
   Lisa and I were in Europe at the time, when we got word we started home in a crazy 36 hour trip! Thanks to my kids for all the clean up. They did leave my closet to clean up. Jacque had a dresser fall on her foot, after a week in a walking boot and crutches she is fine. 
   Crazy thing is, with all these discs you would think I would have a mess! Not a single box of discs fell from their resting spot. Not sure why, I have a shelf in the garage up high near the celling, it runs down the 2 long sides of the garage. It has a 5 inch lip that could have made the difference. Like most things around the house extra precaution is being taken to hold stuff in their place, I think even the stored discs will get a improvement.
