![]() It has been 9 weeks now and my knee replacement seems to have gone well! My future in the sport is a big question mark. it all has to do with twisting your knee while your foot is stable. Sounds like a backhand shot to me! Time will tell. Good news is there is no twisting on a side arm shot. I went out and was thinking I can par everything with a side arm shot. Here is how the first 3 holes went, if you know my local course a roll away can happen at anytime so when I had one one the first hole no big deal but on the next hole and the 3rd hole too, I found myself getting grumpy with my shots just like I was never away! I leveled off making a few pars ( thanks to the help of a 60 foot par save, on this one I threw up my arms like I had won the USDGC! ) on # 8 I had my best drive of the day a 350 foot shot, not bad for me on this day! On hole # 9 I had a roll away from my tee shot that went down the drain below # 10, the suffering on that hole was legendary in my mind. I did birdie # 10 and the rest of the back 9 was smooth, I found a groove, even with out my backhand I did ok! Even with the over night freezing temps my plan is to head back out today! I may not be able to defend my Vintage Cup title this next year but this stuff is fun! Today I think I may try warming up first! Oh the picture, this is the hole my family sponsors, we got a new target with all the PDGA numbers from all my family members, usually the only time you can work the soil is wintertime and I am just not up to it this year so my course improvement is a new target, the old one will get refinished and I hope is that someone else in the club will redo the next basket and so on!
