Greg Barsby 2018 Disc Golf World Champion! First time I spoke to Greg was at the San Francisco Safari many years ago, 2004 was the year.I was wearing a hoodie with the logo of a Swedish metal band named Bathory. Greg & I chatted about the band & got to know each other. Greg won that event! Years later I found myself storing my boat for the winter in Greg's home town, So for the next 2 years I would drive to Grass Valley ( 1 hour 45 min drive ) to drop off the boat in the fall & come back & pick it up in the spring, during these times I would contact Greg about a round of golf on his home course. We would chat about music & golf. I had not started playing guitar at that time but Greg was in a band drumming & singing! He got me thinking about being in a band too! He would tell me he was not very competative in casual rounds, well he got the job done at the highest level! Being from Southern California but having lived in Northern California a larger portion of my life I am proud of a local boy done good.
