I have played in many Disc Golf tournaments with all kinds of people. It seems everyone has a different opinion about what is acceptable tournament play. I hear a lot of talk about making our sport a big time thing, " we just need a major sponsor " it would be nice!
What I see at events are people competing ,having fun & being respectable of basic edict. Sometimes while they are drinking alcohol, using foul language, smoking pot & tobacco, even worse in my opinion are the complainers.
I played at the PDGA Pro Worlds in 2011 & during that event nothing bad happened. I guess it was a more formal setting. Had Coke or Pepsi been there to view play they would have liked what they saw.
I know we will be holding players to a higher standard at the 2015 Vintage Cup, I will be there with my collared shirt ready to show everyone how I think the game should be played, in the end it is just Frisbee to me, 2 MINUTES!
